ASEW series Compression Testing Machines meets the international Load Measurement Standards including BS : 1610 grade 1.0.ASTM E4,As 2193 Grade A ., BS 1881-115 , IS 516 & IS : 14858 (2000).


The ASEW Series Machines are high capacity machines featuring rigid distortion-resistant load frames designed to meet the demands of testing high-performance concrete in a production testing program where accurate and repeatable test results are required. Compare its frame specifications to those of other manufacturers and judge for yourself which machine will stand up to the long term punishment of testing high performance concrete.

Designed for easier operation and loading of specimens, all load frames feature a wide horizontal opening, large lower platen , bottom-mounted piston with dust shield, heavy duty load frame mounting for easier loading of heavy test specimens, our quick change platen system and steel front and rear safety guard doors. The lower platen is through hardened to 55 HRC or greater for longer service life, plated for corrosion resistance, ground plane and has concentric circles for easier centering of test specimens. A quiet running hydraulic pump is rated for continuous duty, with all of its components and those of the loading control valve manufactured to ISO 9001 international quality standards. The control valve is pressure compensated for a smooth and constant rate of loading.

Available with different load indicating systems, select from a basic budget minded unit or an advanced system that will automatically calculate and display stress test results, store test data, print or transfer to PC all of the test data required for a test report. These Machines feature a space saving design configuration for easy accessibility and safer operation by positioning the operator to the side of the load frame during a test. This is accomplished by mounting the digital indicator on the top of the load frame.

Standard safety features are steel fragment guard doors on both frame openings and a high pressure hydraulic safety valve which prevents the machine from operating beyond its maximum capacity. Optional safety features is an electronic overload protection switch that automatically turns the hydraulic pump off when the machine reaches its maximum capacity.

Concrete is generally mixed by man at site itself. The properties of Concrete depend on the properties of its ingredients and their proportion , and it varies from mix to mix. Therefore the test must be conducted to ensure that the concrete used is in accordance with design specifications. A frequent test is the test of Compressive strength , in which concrete samples are tested to failure.

The Machines are designed with extreme simplicity which makes even a non technical personnel to operate with ease. The Machines are made portable for quality control testing in areas where commercial testing are not available. The Machines are calibrated with an accuracy of +- 1 % as per the standards requirement. The Machines are available in various capacities from 50 KN to 5000 KN .

Optional test platens and spacer sets are available for testing a wide range of specimen types, all meeting ASTM and AASHTO specifications.

Machines meet ASTM C-39, E-4 and AASHTO T-22 specifications.

Analogue, digital as well as Computerized models are available.

ASEW-130 - Vibrating Table for compaction concrete cube,
Vibrating Table for compaction concrete cube, cylinders. The table Deck size 50cm x 50 cm and has stops along its edges to prevent Moulds from walking off the table during vibration. The variably pitch pulley arrangement permits the frequency to be varied Sleeplessly between a maximum of 3600 vibrations down to 2600 vibration per minute. A speed regulation handle is provided for increasing or decreasing the frequency. The vibrator is mounted on a cushioned steel vibrating deck. A switch is provided for starting the motor operation on 440 V, 3 phases, A.C. supply. Digital CABINET TYPE.

It is Suitable for Compacting Asphalt/ Concrete Samples. The Vibrating Hammer is a useful and convenient Hammer for compacting concrete specimens in cube moulds of different sizes. Electrically operated. Operation on 220V, 1 phase, 50 cycles, AC supply. Complete with Tamping foot 75 mm x 50 mm and tamping foot 140 mm x100 mm.

The ASEW Standard Slump Cone Set provides you with the basic slump test components in an easy-carry configuration. The unique base design allows you to combine the individual components together into a one-piece, portable unit (see photo). The integral handle, attached to the base, can be rotated above the specimen once the cone has been removed and used as a guide to measure the slump.

Consists of slump cone fitted with handles and foot pieces in position. The Flow Table determining the flow or Portland cement concrete Consists of Flow table top is 76.2 cms (30") dia, finely machined from a solid casting. The stand is fabricated out of cast iron/M. steel and is of sturdy construction. The ground and hardened steel cam is designed to drop the table by 12.5mm. Complete with Flow mould with handles with one tamping rod 0-60 cms long x 16 mm dia. Hand operated.

ASEW-136 - Kelly ball penetration apparatus.
Kelly ball penetration apparatus. ASTM C360, AASHTO T183, CTM533
A test for the consistency of concrete using the penetration of a half sphere; a 1-inch (2.5-centimeter) penetration by the Kelly ball corresponds to about 2 inches (5 centimeters) of slump. Determines depth of penetration of metal weight into plastic concrete. Apparatus consists of 30 lb. (14kg) cylinder with hemispherically shaped bottom and handle. The stirrup (frame) guides the handle and acts as a reference for measuring depth of penetration. Handle is graduated in 1/4" (6.4mm) increments on one side and half-centimeter increments on the other side. Concrete may be tested as placed in the forms prior to any manipulation or in a suitable container.

Consists of two conical hoppers and a cylinder mounted on a rigid metal frame. The lower opening of the hoppers is fitted with hinged trap-doors for release and during the fall of material. Complete with trowel and tamping bar 0-60 cms long x 16 mm dia.
ASEW-140 - Concrete Penetrometer, Spring type. IS:
Concrete Penetrometer, Spring type. IS: 8142, ASTM D 1558.
Consists of cylindrical spring housing with a plunger attached to the top of the spring. Penetration needle is attached to the other end of the spring housing. The plunger is graduated in 1 kg/div, to a maximum cap of 60 kg. Which can be read with respect to the top end of the spring housing. Complete with a set of seven needle pointers in a nice wooden carrying case.

ASEW-140A - Concrete Pocket Penetrometer
The Concrete Penetrometer supports the following standards: ASTM C780

Lightweight, spring-reaction type concrete penetrometer for field and lab evaluation of the initial set of concrete mortar, based on ASTM C403. Penetration plunger has a 1/20 sq. in. tip area. Plunger is steadily pushed into the mortar to a 1 in. depth, as indicated on the shaft, at periodic time intervals. Penetrometer's calibrated range is 0-700 psi. Resistance in psi is indicated on the scale. The term "initial set" is the semi-hardened, partially hydrated condition of the concrete beyond which it can no longer be worked. The point of initial set is reached when the penetration value is 500psi.

Consists of a pressure tight flanged cylindrical measuring bowl Fitted fitted with a removable flanged conical cover assembly With a seal in between. Conical cover has an air valve and a Pet cock for bleeding off the water. A cylindrical stand pipe, which is graduated in air content, is fixed to the conical cover assembly. The whole assembly is mounted on a flat base. Each apparatus is supplied complete with a pressure bulb or Air pump, calibrating cylinder, pressure gauge, funnel, trowel and tamping bar.

ASEW-142 - Longitudinal Compressometer for 150mm
Longitudinal Compressometer for 150mm dia x 300 mm high Specimen.
Consists of two frames for clamping to the specimen by means of five tightening screw with a hardened and tapered end. Two spacers hold the two frame in position. A pivot rod rests on pivot screws. A dial gauge, fixed to a bracket fitted to the top frame is used for taking deformation measurement. Supplied complete with dial gauge 0.002 mm x 10 mm in a nice wooden carrying case.

Consists of a rigid support frame, incorporating a water tank mounted on a platform. A mechanical lifting device is used to raise the water tank which stop the water tank to any specific height required through the frame height immersing the specimen suspended below the balance. The Electronic Digital Balance 6 kg x 0.1 gram supplied with frame, water tank is provide with the drain valve , suspension hook and a wire basket 200x200 mm.
