We are offering Soil Testing Equipment, which is supplied with stainless steel penetration test cone 35 mm long with smooth polished surface and an angle of 30 deg. It has a facility for adjusting cone height in relation to the specimen and ensures trouble free operations.
ASEW-014 - Sieve Shaker Electrically
Sieve shaker electrically for 200 and 300 mm dia and Vibratory mode.
Sieve Shaker, which complies with ASTM C136 Standards, the ASEW Motorized Sieve Shaker can be used with 8", 10" and 12" sieves. 1/4 HP motor handles up to (11) 8" sieves, and (7) 12" full-height sieves, 220V, 60Hz with 999 Sec/minute digital timer. Mounting is required. ASTM C136.

Designed for use with 8" sieves, this industrial-strength Sieve Shaker is engineered with rugged steel and alloy materials ready to withstand everyday, harsh duty cycles. Grease fittings are provided to ensure longer life for your bearings, and each unit is "burned in" by continuously running it for over 4 hours, guaranteeing performance right out of the box. Sedimentation analysis (Grain size) Anderson pipette method, IS 2720 (P-iv), BS: 1377.
A sliding carriage which is operated without transmitting vibration to pipette or to sedimentation tube when the pipette is inserted & withdrawn from the liquid. Supplied complete with Anderson pipette 10 ml cap, sedimentation tube glass 500 ml cap. Borosil glass.

ASEW-017 - Plummet Balance, IS: 2720 (P - iv)
Elegance combined with simplicity of operation. Sinking of Plummet to right depth is all that is required before taking a reading.Grain size distribution curve for the entire sub-sieve range of particle size is possible, which is not so with pipette method, where only specific sizes of particles can be determined. Eliminates computations involved in Hydrometer method. %age of soil in suspension can be directly read. Grain size distribution curve can be directly plotted as experiment progresses.
The Plummet Balance consists of a vertical rod mounted on a heavy base with leveling screws. A light weight pointer with pointed steel pivots, turning a jeweled bearings moves over a scale graduated in %age units 0-100 in 2% divisions. The pointer is provided with a hook for hanging plummet. The Balance moves up and down over the vertical rod with the help of rack and pinion arrangement. A chart showing the relationship between K and temp. of suspension of soils of varying specific gravity from 2.4 to 2.8 to help solve stroke’s equation is provided. Complete with one perspex plummet, one measuring jar, one rider weight for adjusting the pointer to 100%.
ASEW-018 - Core Cutter, IS: 2720 (P xxix), BS: 1377.
Core cutter 100 mm I. Dia x 130 mm long with steel dolly & rammer with steel rod.
In this method of determining the dry density of in-situ soil, a core cutter of known volume is driven into the soil by a rammer. The core cutter is removed , trimmed and the soil obtained is weighed and dried for a moisture/density check.

The equipment is used to determine the dry density of in-situ soils.

ASEW-022 - Sand Cone (Sand density Apparatus)
Sand density apparatus determines the in-place density of soils. Set includes 1-gal. (5 L) threaded jar, detachable double cone consisting of a brass cylindrical valve with a 1/2" (12.7mm) dia. orifice. Valve has stops that prevent rotating past completely open or completely closed positions. Bottom cone is 6-1/2" (165mm) dia. with a flanged opening that fits the opening of the field density plate. Complies with ASTM D1556; AASHTO T191. Shipping wt. 10 lbs. (4.5kg).
ASEW-023 - Relative Density apparatus, IS: 2720 (P-xiv),
Relative Density apparatus, IS: 2720 (P-xiv), IS:10837, ASTM D 4253-4254).
Apparatus determines the relative density of cohesionless, free-draining soils and provides well-defined results on soils that do not respond well to conventional moisture-density impact compaction testing. Soils for which this method is appropriate may contain up to 12 percent of soil particles passing a No. 200 (75?m) sieve, depending on the distribution of particle sizes, which causes them to have free-draining characteristics. Relative density of cohesion less soils uses vibratory compaction to obtain maximum density and pouring to obtain minimum density.

Sand equivalent tests serve as rapid field-correlation tests to show relative proportions of clay-like or plastic fines and dusts in granular soils and fine aggregates. The test separates sand and clay, a comparative reading is determined between the suspended clay and the settled sand in the measuring cylinder. Tests may be done in the laboratory or the field. Set meets ASTM D2419; AASHTO T176. Shipping wt. 21 lbs (9.5kg).

Recommended for use in laboratories performing a large number of test, this shaker provides a consistent and repeatable oscillation, minimizing variation in test results. The unit is available bench mounted and designed to meet the ASTM.

COMPACTION CONTROL
ASEW-029 - Proctor Needle, (Proctor Penetrometer),
Proctor Needle, (Proctor Penetrometer), ASTM D-1558. Consists of a body housing a spring , a plunger calibrated to read 0-40 kg x 1 kg & a handle. Two stems are provided, a larger stem and a shorter stem, both graduated at 12.5 mm intervals, to indicate the depth of penetration. The larger stem & the smaller stem are used with needles of larger & smaller areas respectively. Complete with Needles points set comprising each of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.25, 2, 3.5, & 6 cm. sq. & taming pin complete in a nice teak wooden carrying case.
